The Roman god of love and the son of Venus. He is a small, winged boy, blindfolded, carrying bow and arrows. The arrows, once struck the heart, makes the victim fall in love. He is also portrayed as a young man with his beloved Psyche, with Venus or with a small group of winged infants (the Amoretti or Amorini). Some traditions say that he was born from a silver egg. His Greek equivalent is Eros. The name is derived from the Latin cupido, "desire".

คนทั่วไปรู้จัก คิวปิด ในภาพของเด็กน่ารักที่มีปีก มือถือคันธนูกับลูกศรและมีชื่อเสียงในเรื่องการยิงศรรักปักหัวใจของใครต่อใคร ศรรักของ คิวปิด หมายถึงความปรารถนาและอารมณ์แห่งความรัก คิวปิด จะเล็งลูกศรไปที่พระเจ้าและมนุษย์เพื่อทำให้พระเจ้ากับมนุษย์รักกัน

มีเรื่องน่าสนใจพอสมควรเกี่ยวกับ คิวปิด และ ไซคี เจ้าสาวของเขาในเทพนิยายโรมัน ผมขอแนะนำผู้อ่านให้รู้จักคู่รักของ คิวปิด สักนิดนะครับว่าเธอเป็นเทพธิดารูปงามในนิยายกรีกโบราณมีปีกเป็นผีเสื้อ และเพราะความงามนี้เองที่ทำให้ วีนัส อิจฉา นางจึงได้สั่ง คิวปิด ให้ลงโทษว่าที่ลูกสะใภ้เสีย แต่ คิวปิด ตกหลุมรักเธอเกินกว่าที่จะทำตามความต้องการของแม่ ดังนั้น แทนที่จะลงโทษเธอ คิวปิด กลับเอาเธอเป็นภรรยาเสียเลย แต่เนื่องจาก ไซคี มิได้เป็นอมตะ เธอจึงถูกห้ามมิให้มองเขา (ตรงนี้ผมไม่ทร าบเหมือนกันนะครับว่าเป็นไปได้อย่างไรที่ได้เธอเป็นภรรยาแล้วภรรยามองไม่ได้ แต่อย่าไปคิดอะไรมากนะครับ เพราะเทพนิยายฝรั่งก็ไม่แตกต่างอะไรไปจากละครน้ำเน่าบ้านเรา)

หลังจากตกเป็นภรรยาของ คิวปิด แล้ว ไซคี ก็มีความสุขเรื่อยมา (ก็แหงละ) จนกระทั่งพี่สาวของเธอได้รบเร้าให้เธอมอง คิวปิด ทันทีที่เธอมอง คิวปิด คิวปิด ก็ลงโทษเธอด้วยการทิ้งเธอไปทันที พร้อมกันนั้นปราสาทและสวนอันสวยงามของเธอก็ต้องมลายหายไปด้วย หลังจากนั้นไซคี ก็พบว่าตัวเองอยู่ตามลำพังในทุ่งโล่งแห่งหนึ่งซึ่งไม่มีร่องรอยของสิ่งมีชีวิตอื่นๆหรือ คิวปิด ปรากฏให้เห็นเลย

ในขณะที่เธอออกเดินทางค้นหาคนรักของเธอนั้น เธอก็มาถึงวิหารของ วีนัส โดยบังเอิญ เมื่อ วีนัส เทพธิดาแห่งความรักพบว่า ไซคี ยังมีชีวิตอยู่ เธอก็ปราถนาที่จะ ทำลาย ไซคี ด้วยการให้งานที่หนักและอันตรายเพิ่มขึ้นเรื่อยๆ งานสุดท้ายที่ ไซคี ได้รับมิใช่งานขับเครื่องบินชนตึกเวิร์ลเทรดครับ หากแต่เธอได้รับกล่องใบหนึ่งมาและได้ถูกสั่งให้ลงไปยังใต้โลกเพื่อเอา ความงามของ โพรเซอร์พีน ภรรยาของ พลูโต ใส่กล่องใบนี้มา ในระหว่างที่เธอเดินทางอยู่นั้น เธอก็ได้รับคำแนะนำให้รู้จักการหลีกเลี่ยงอันตรายจากอาณาจักรแห่งความตาย นอกจากนั้นแล้ว เธอยังได้ถูกเตือนมิให้เปิดกล่องใบนั้นอีกด้วย แต่เพราะทนไม่ไหวหรือเพราะความอยากรู้อยากเห็นหรืออะไรก็ไม่ทราบ เธอได้เปิดกล่องใบนั้น แต่แทนที่จะพบกับความงาม เธอกลับต้องหลับเป็นตาย

ต่อมา คิวปิด ได้มาพบร่างอันไร้ชีวิตของเธอบนพื้นดิน เขาจึงได้นำเอาอาการหลับเป็นตายออกจากร่างของเธอและนำมันไปเก็บไว้ในกล่อง หลังจากนั้น คิวปิด ก็ได้ให้อภัยเธอเช่นเดียวกับ วีนัส เมื่อเทพเจ้าทั้งหลายเห็นความรักที่เธอมีต่อ คิวปิด จึงได้ตั้งให้เธอเป็นเทพธิดาองค์หนึ่ง

ปัจจุบันนี้รูป คิวปิด แผลงศรเป็นสัญลักษณ์แห่งความรักที่ผู้คนมักนิยมใช้กัน และเมื่อศรรักของ คิวปิด พุ่งโดนหัวใจหนุ่มสาวคนใดในวันวาเลนไทน์ หนุ่มสาวคนนั้นก็จะออกอาการ "สติวปิ้ด" จากศรรักของ คิวปิด ขึ้นมาทันที อาการนี้จะเห็นได้จากการส่งดอกกุหลาบสีแดง ส่งช็อคโกแล็ต การส่งบัตรอวยพรและอื่นๆ อีกครับ

หมายเหตุท้ายบท : "สติวปิ้ด" เป็นภาษาอังกฤษแปลว่า "โง่" ครับ เหมือนคำบางคำที่เราอาจเคยได้ยินว่า "ความรักบางครั้งก็ทำให้คนตาบอด และ มองไม่เห็นข้อบกพร่องของคนที่เรารัก"

Edward, then Prince of Wales, was introduced to Wallis Simpson in 1931, when she was married to her second husband; they soon began a relationship that would rock Britain's most prominent institutions — Parliament, the monarchy and the Church of England — to their cores. Edward called Simpson, whom others criticized as a financially unstable social climber, "the perfect woman." Just months after being crowned king in January 1936, after the death of his father, George V, Edward proposed to Simpson, precipitating a huge scandal and prompting Britain's prime minister, Stanley Baldwin, to say he would resign if the marriage went ahead. Not wanting to push his country into an electoral crisis, but unwilling to give Simpson up, Edward made the decision to abdicate the throne. In a public radio address, he told the world of his love for Simpson, saying that "I have found it impossible to carry the heavy burden of responsibility and to discharge my duties as King as I would wish to do without the help and support of the woman I love." Married and given the titles of Duke and Duchess of Windsor, the couple lived in exile in France, where they became fixtures of cafe society.

The name "Casanova" has long since come to conjure up the romantic image of the prototypical libertine and seducer, thanks to the success of Giacomo Casanova's posthumously published 12-volume autobiography, Histoire de ma vie, which chronicled with vivid detail — as well as some exaggeration — his many sexual and romantic exploits in 18th-century Europe. Born in Venice in 1725 to actor parents, Casanova was expelled from a seminary for scandalous conduct and embarked on a varied career, including a stint working for a cardinal in Rome, as a violinist, and as a magician, while traveling all around the continent. Fleeing from creditors, he changed his name to Chevalier de Seingalt, under which he published a number of literary works, most importantly his autobiography. Casanova's celebration of pleasure seeking and much-professed love of women — he maintained that a woman's conversation was at least as captivating as her body — made him the leading champion of a movement towards sexual freedom, and the model for the famous Don Juan of literature. After working as a diplomat in Berlin, Russia, and Poland and a spy for the Venetian inquisitors, Casanova spent the final years of his life working on his autobiography in the library of a Bohemian count. He died in 1798.

Much uncertainty surrounds the life story of the celebrated Greek lyric poet Sappho, a woman Plato called "the tenth Muse." Born around 610 B.C. on the island of Lesbos, now part of Greece, she was said to have been married to Cercylas, a wealthy man. Many legends have long existed about Sappho's life, including a prevalent one — now believed to be untrue — that she leaped into the sea to her death because of her unrequited love of a younger man, the sailor Phaon. It is not known how much work she published during her lifetime, but by the 8th or 9th century Sappho's known work was limited to quotations made by other authors. In the majority of her poems, Sappho wrote about love — and the accompanying emotions of hatred, anger and jealousy — among the members of her largely young and female circle. Sappho gave her female acolytes educational and religious instruction as part of the preparation for marriage; the group was dedicated to and inspired by Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love and beauty. Her focus on the relationships between women and girls has led many to assume that Sappho was a lesbian — a word derived from the island and the communities of women that lived there — but it is also true that the existence of strong emotions and attractions between members of the same sex was considered far more common and less taboo than in later years.

   Some people don't believe about True love online on Internet .Many people think never have True love on Internet .But now communicating through the Internet makes the world smaller people know each other more.

    Start my love story but I write English not good But I'll try to write it the best.Next time i will try to learn to write correct sentences .

   In 2007 I have known a website Thailovelinks.com  is a website about finding foreign man. I have a registered  as member website Thailovelinks.com .I register as a member Thailovelinks of nearly 2 years . During the past 2 years i spoke with many foreigner man But i still can not find the right guy.

   March 2009, I was talking with a men from England. A man from England told me his name is Paul .Paul told me he read profile me on TLL (TLL mean Thailovelinks)and interested me and he want to talk with me. But i think he is interested my pictures on TLL because i used my pictures that i think it's a very beautiful and sexy for foreign men see and interested my profile .

   Paul he is a Platinum member i was a Standard member. Platinum member can use video cam for talk .we spoke on the internet and also on skype  msn . Paul told me he want to meet me in a person after we spoke about 15day. He said ''until you meet someone face to face and spend time together you never know how things will work out between us''. i told paul i'm glad to hear and your wellcome to Thailand.

Paul booked a flight and travelled to thailand on the 25th april 2009.me and my friend wait paul at the Suwannaphom airport. first i met paul i knew in my heart that he was a very kind person he looking good nice man and he very happy to meet me.

   We then got a taxi and went back to my apartment when we arrived there my mum was there to meet paul and met all of my friends that nice and paul stayed with me and my mum in my apartment .   We all spent most of the night talking and just all getting to know each other even know we spoke on the internet it is never the same until you meet someone face to face my mum said paul is a very kind person and we just all talked most of the night it was really great to meet Paul.

   The next morning me and my mum take paul come to my hometown Kalasin by the Taxi. my family meet paul and them like paul . Me and paul spent 10 days there me took paul around to see  more of my friends and also the fields which my parents own.we had a great time together.
   Me and paul then both travelled back to bangkok to my apartment we spent the next week sight seeing around where me lives .

  I wait for Paul come back Thailand again . and Yes paul come back again in august 25th 2009 .i very very happy and paul said he want be with me on my birthday which is the 27th of august 2009. paul he is a very romantic person before he come thailand for meet me paul send flower and teddy bear to me. he send flower to me about 3 time before meet me.

   On the 5th of september 2009 we booked in to a hotel in pattaya for 16 days we just spent time on the beach sight seeing paul try eating all different foods and just relaxing paul helped me learn to swim which was fun.

   I had never met anyone like paul before .Paul is a very caring person and a very kind person and most of all he always makes me happy inside my heart.
